Czech Elections: Back to the Future as Andrej Babiš Sweeps to Victory

The Foreign Policy Research Institute (FPRI), the Philadelphia-based think tank for which I write periodically, yesterday published my latest analytic missive on political developments in the Czech Republic. For anyone interested, the article can be accessed here.

ANO, SPOLU, ODS, KDU-CSI, TOP-29, STAN, PIRATES, STACILOL, MOTORISTS, AND SPD. The Czechs have a very crowded dance program from which to choose, enlivened by names like the Pirates and the Motorists. And we struggle with two parties and a once-in-a-while third party. Does anyone there actually have a handle on what is actually happening in their government? Patricia

Sorry, forgot to include the Enough Party with the Motorists and the Pirates. It could be the proper nomenclature for a new American party, the Enough Party, enough of the current B.S. Patricia
